Message from the Secretary: 04/18/2025
Good day, Brothers,
I hope this message finds you well and that the Lord has been good to you.
When I first began my journey in Freemasonry, I was inspired by the opportunity to serve the community anonymously and selflessly. One of our earliest efforts at Keowee Lodge was raising funds to clothe children at a local elementary school — a mission that gave birth to our annual golf tournament. Though that school has since closed, our commitment to charitable work has only grown stronger.
In the past, we proudly supported several local organizations, including:
- Richard B. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home
- Our local food bank
- 10 Lines – Veterans Assistance Program
- The Parenting Place – Supporting young parents
Over the years, we've seen many Brothers become inactive due to NPD. At the same time, we've been blessed with new, passionate young leaders eager to expand our efforts in the community. However, our momentum is limited by the number of active members.
If you have gone NPD, we sincerely ask you to consider returning. Your presence and participation matter more now than ever. Together, we can build something greater than before.
The Hall Committee has laid out an ambitious vision to remodel the lodge. This project will be completed in stages, funded through dedicated efforts without touching our existing capital. But we can’t do it alone — we need your help.
Let’s come together once again, strengthen our Brotherhood, and make Keowee Lodge a shining light in our community
Fraternally Yours,
Doyle (Ray) Black
Secretary
